Singiro Literacy Development Program
The Singiro Literacy Development Program is dedicated to improving reading, writing, and basic communication skills among children, youth, and adults in vulnerable communities served by SIVHO.
The program aims to strengthen foundational literacy as a key driver of education, personal development, and long-term community transformation. It supports learners who have missed formal schooling opportunities and those who need extra learning support to improve their academic performance.
Program Focus Areas:
Basic reading and writing skills
Adult literacy and numeracy classes
Remedial support for school-going children
Community reading groups and learning clubs
Teacher and volunteer-led literacy sessions
Through this program, SIVHO seeks to reduce illiteracy, improve confidence in learning, and open opportunities for education, skills development, and improved livelihoods.
